Summer in Whistler

Many have heard of the spectacular winter skiing, snowboarding and other winter activities that have earned Whistler "Top North American Ski Resort" status. But did you realize that Whistler has even more visitors in the Summer? This is the perfect place for family "togethering" - our units provide separate spaces for grandparents, kids and parents, while still offering lots of together time.

As published in USA Today, June 7, 2002, we quote from the article entitled 10 Great Places to Enjoy Summer on the Slopes:
#2- Whistler/Blackcomb. World famous for its winter delights, this top-rated ski mecca "remains one of Canada's best-kept secrets" for a summer getaway. Among often overlooked offerings: four championship golf courses designed by such legends as Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, "what may be the top mountain bike center in North America" and summer skiing at higher elevations.

We hope these brief highlights will encourage you to consider a summer vacation in Whistler at Glacier's Reach Unit 17 or 124 - all prime locations for enjoying everything that Whistler's summer has to offer.

The Village:

In summer the village is alive with strolling entertainers, outdoor musical concerts, busy sidewalk cafes, theme weekends and special events. Soak up some sun while you enjoy some great jazz or watch a skateboard demonstration. Since everything is within walking distance, your group can spread out in different directions and meet back at the condo for a BBQ on the deck, or playing in the Glacier's Reach swimming pool. Summer is ski/snowboard neutral- there's plenty of fun things to do without even going up the mountain! (Although a sight-seeing trip up the lifts and across the new peak-to-peak gondola is an experience you won't want to miss!) It's a family-friendly place too, as you'll notice by the number of kid-appropriate activities.

Whistler Mountain Biking

Whistler is world famous for its mountain biking. There are hundreds of mountain bike trails throughout the Whistler valley area. Some have a technical edge while others offer forested views and mountain scenery that are stunning.
